What an event we had this past April 15th. Looking back a month later we can see that the movement drew attention to just some of the many people have had enough. We are sending the petition from the Tea Party to the federal reps from our area, in hopes that they will further see the great concern from such a wide range of people.
The effect of the Tea Parties has slowed some of the reckless spending, but the spending commitments really need to be reversed, or taxes will continue to go up and your savings will be worthless in the face of skyrocketing inflation.
For a variety of reasons, including the fact that Ray and I are studying for the bar exam and moving to different parts of the nation, we will be unable to host a July 4th Tea Party in Lynchburg. We suggest one of two alternatives. We first suggest attending a 4th of July Tea Party in our Nations' Capital, Washington DC. Below is more info with the facebook group and website. We hope that you will all be able to attend. We feel that a enormous National Tea Party is the next step, with July 4th being a great day to call for “Freedom from our own Government”.
